There is some catastrophe in the news
Entire countries are being annihilated by weather
There is a nut job in the white house
World War 3 seems very real and just around the corner
Like our entire existence is about to change
Yet every day
We get up
We go to work
As if none of this is happening
We don’t even talk about it
Yet it is always there
Hanging over us all
Like a shadow
